A Message From Our Founder
Welcome to the De Alma Literary Creative, a literary collective. De Alma was created to connect writers with each other in order to grow our wonderful writing and literary community. “De alma” is Spanish for “of the soul.” Life is full of beauty, pains, struggles, and triumphs. We, as writers, are blessed with the gift to articulate our journey through the peaks and valleys, the dry and rainy, the scarcity and abundance of life with passion and conviction. Whether you are a poet, a playwright, a novelist, or a screenwriter, the words we put to paper should always reflect our passion and convictions that find their headwaters in the soul. What we do is not just art. It is a reflection of who we are, where we’ve come from, and how we navigate this beautiful thing called life.
De Alma Literary exists to bring together writers, their words, and their souls to share in the beauty that is this thing we call creative writing. Creation springs from the soul. Writing comes from the heart.
